My Story

I’m Brent, welcome!
I’m looking forward to you getting to know me and my pets Harry and Rocky in my videos — they’re the Roc and Har — combined with comedy, emphasis on MED. I have always known this, but over the last year I’ve come to truly understand, comedy is the best medicine.
Did you know that only 3 to 5% of men aged 55 to 64 have lost their spouse?
By filming my videos I once again found my purpose and passion and I’m hoping to reach anyone else with similar struggles. I want to connect with humour, as filming my videos always makes me laugh.
I moved to Canada 30 years ago on January 6th during a winter blizzard. I moved from South Carolina, where I’d been playing golf in shorts and a t-shirt on January 5th, to southern Ontario that had all the typical, winter wonderland appeal of the season.
Lately, I’ve taken up hobbies that I haven’t thought about in 30 years. It has really helped me. There’s lots of lessons I’ve learned this year. Let me show you the way forward with my videos.

In my short and sweet videos, you’ll see me present slice-of-life moments in a funny way.
For example, for anyone living alone like me – either through choice or circumstances – I’ll show you how important it is to:

About RocHar coMEDy
This website will entertain, inform and inspire. I’ve been told that finding a creative outlet is one of the best ways to deal with grief. It’s really helped me and I hope to inspire others who are going through a difficult time.
Grief experts say that the creative process can be very helpful for many people experiencing loss. While grief is a very personal experience, I have found that my videos have given me purpose, passion and a way to connect with people.
